We are the motivators.

I normally find that by this time of the summer I am ready to change up the routine. Our summer schedule has worked for awhile but now it is time to step it up with our "normal" school routine. For us that consists of hike club, book club, co-op, speech/ot, and ymca gym class. Phew! That's a lot of stuff. I know that by the end of the semester I will be begging for a break and wanting to go back into our summer routine.

I'm not going to lie it's been a bit of a rough week. I have found that despite our best attempts to sticking to our schedule, we've come up short and I have let ipad time take over. On days like this I think it is important to first let it go. You will have bad days and sometime you just have to throw your hands up and start again tomorrow. It's so important to have perspective for this journey. Hopefully you have a close circle of friends that you can call up and get support from. If you don't, be proactive and search them out. In addition I challenge you to come up with a homeschool mantra. Something that you repeat when times get rough and you lose your vision. Post it in your home somewhere so it's a constant reminder of why you are doing what you are doing.

Hang in there, you're doing a great job!
